    Default Azores trip report

In line with the threads on reporting fish catches, here is one on the Azores. We went out on Xacara for two three-day charters, split by a three day gap. First three days were very quiet, but the second three were better, resulting in a 450 lb (released), a fish about a thousand released (we called it 950 lb to be on the safe side), and we ended up bringing the last one back to the dock since it was toast at the end of the fight, where it weighed in at 979.8lb, just shy of a grander. So, for six days of fishing we got 3 fish, two of them very large. There were 2 additional strikes, but these did not result in hook ups.

If it's like last year, the really big fish will probably still be around for the next week or two, before the numbers increase but the average size goes down.

    Default Great News

    Hi Adrian,
that sounds very fine. Itīs good to hear, that you can catch your great fish too at the azores. There was a time, where the fish were missed. Maybe it will get better.
    Best regards,
    Uwe

Any trip you land a marlin even close to a G, is money well spent in my book. Thanks for the report. Alway interesting to hear reports from exotic locales, especially that one.
