Well here we are with my second thread...And it's been that windy down here it's blowing dogs off ther chains. We had two days in between the 50 knot winds and were able to snaek out and have a fish. On our last trip we caught some great albacore and dropped a yellowfin of 40lb on the trace on a bibless minnow. On the next trip we managed to keep a few attached and had a great catch of school tuna to 50lb. However it was Phillipe Batisa who scored well when fishing from Ian Houlford's REEL ADDICTION In an area we call The Southern Canyons to the south of Sydney in 300 fathoms he caught a 180lb yellowfin on 30 lb test. The big fish took 2 hours to catch and was caught by the chumming technique (We call it cubing down here)
Both our boats BROADBILL and BILLFISHER are out this weekend so we will report our catch next week.See web site www.gamefishingcharters.com.au for some How To's down under style.
Good luck from "Sydney Down Under "
