Ole what's his name (Jimmy) had so many flags up on 9/25 that he needed another boat behind him to help out. I lost track of whites but it seemed to be around 24 with a couple of blues thrown in. I was out there watching him and he would troll 200 feet, fight a fish, troll another 200 feet, fight a fish, etc., etc. The ILTA tournament folks averaged 1/2 billfish a day for each boat; with 3 competing anglers on each of those boats which came to about 1/5th of a billfish a day per angler; over 3 days. Those were amateurs competing. I believe the total came to 147 billfish by the time they called line's in on the radio the 3rd day (in Spanish and Englsih). That shows the difference between amateur fishing and a professional fishing the very same waters at the very same time. And...........of course the whites are in. Cabo is catching upwards to 15 stripies a day on some boats (Pisces site/see first week of October). Ya just got to pick the right time at that right place and it is very important to pick a Capt. and seasoned crew at the top of their game. I return in April. Onto Cabo in December and somewhere in February. How's farming George? Cheers, Doc
Sody - Day 2 (17 Oct) on Guarimba

Hey George and Warren - how goes it?
Several parties we have down there are hammering the whites. Sody ended up with two grand slams; Lonsdale fishing over the weekend had a grand slam; Hope it holds up into December. Rough seas tho, at least that's what Eric on the El Dooblai told me. Seems the rougher it is the better the Blues like it.
George I heard something about you heading back to CapeTown?

Client "Barker" had a fair first day, heavy seas pounded them a bit and they had fish in baits but only hooked a couple of small blues.
2nd day - Hooked 7 blues, 1 white, 3 sails = Released 3 blues, 3 sails
3rd day - Hooked 6 blues, 2 whites, 3 sails = Released 3 blues, 1 white, 1 sail - grand slam!

The Whites have disappeared. Hopefully they will return.

"Hooked" ranks up there with "fish raised". (Sort of like going to a bar.) The only ones that count are caught and released. Doc
PS: George, you know what's going on with 'Joropo' and Wilmer? He can catch a marlin in a desert.
Yup, enuf screwing around - we just unloaded 20,000 bbls of Brasilian ethanol. Got orders to fly back to Cape Town in December. Another catboat delivery to Oz. It pays so much better than being on this bucket of rivets. Gonna miss you guys at the Miami show this year - but making money is better than standing around over there.
Joropo - still going strong last I heard. Wish Wilmar would learn some gringo speak
