Hello Anglers! Capt. Till Brauer here with the latest inshore fishing report from beautiful San Juan, Puerto Rico.
I had the opportunity to take out two anglers visiting from the great state of Tennessee on a charter this morning to look for tarpon. Mickey and his wife Laurie had never experienced the thrill of capturing and releasing a tarpon.
The tarpon were in rare form, with numerous frenzies with the majority of the fish in the typical backcountry sizes of 10 to 50 pounds, we managed to hook 2 tarpon in the 10 to 25 pound range using 8 and 16 pound test line and bay anchovies for bait. Add 5 Snook and a pair of juvenile barracuda, and we had a great 4 hour trip on the water.
