    Default Tobago Fishing

I'm going there in July - websites say the big game fishing season is from October to April.....I must be able to do some means of deep sea fishing?!

What species are around during July? I know there'll be no Marlin, Tuna etc, but what about Dolphin?

The tarpon fishing is excellent at this time of year, right off the beach. Make sure to charter with any one of the "Hard Play" boats, skippered by Frothy de Silva. The dolphin fishing is very consistent, due to the prevalence of flying fish, a prime bait species.

The offshore season runs from october to june so you might just be able to squeeze in some end of the season action. the reef and coastal fishing is very good year round, with dolphin, king mackerel, mako sharks, wahoo, tuna, snappers and groupers being regularly caught. there is also a relatively pristine flyfishing bonefish fishery.
