    Default FishingFlamingo.com Weekly - 10.27.08

When the going gets tough, the tough make adjustments... Low or no visibility can certainly be tough on site fishing. Add a steady wind and high water to the equation and you're in for a fight. Rather than calling it a day, try something new and you may surprise yourself. Personally, I prefer to slow things down, listen more than usual and keep a keen eye out for disturbed water. The number of fish caught may be limited, but often times hard work makes for a more rewarding experience.

    The Brothers - 10.26.08
Jorge and Rob faced some of the toughest site fishing conditions yesterday... but, they still managed decent numbers and had a great time doing it. As the wise cracks flew, so did their baits... they likely racked up twice as many casts as compared to a typical day in the Park.

Fortunately, there was no shortage of fish... We started the morning on a shoreline with rolling Tarpon everywhere. Then we hit a flat with waking Redfish in nearly every direction. Some Snook and Trout even made their way up into an area to mix in with mudding Mullet. Later, with the Sun trying it's hardest to peek through the thick cloud cover, we found Redfish mixed in with schools of Black Drum.

In the end, Jorge & Rob's hard work resulted in two Slams... a couple of Tarpon, a few Snook, double-digit Redfish and a few Trout. They also caught several of the familiar "other" species in between...

The rain kept the camera in the box most of the day, but we did manage a couple of cool pics...

The sun showed itself, in typical fashion, as we headed out of the Park...
