Hello anglers and what a great fall we are having, the weather has been great for fishing and the fish are jumping in the boat!!!!
Today I had all of the boats running, Jim Beam, N'tini's Resturant, Sia's Meat Market, and the Ulfers brothers Jimmy and Paul. Everyone wanted trout first then reds except for the Ulfers and they were fishing with me they wanted arm pulling reds!!!
By, 8:30-9:00 all of the guides were finished their limits of trout (375) and moving in for the redfish slam. My guys were busy all morning pulling in reds like nuts, doubles almost every cast. The only time they were not doubled up was because I was getting the hook unstuck out of my net! Well, we had our limit in about 20min and kept catching and releasing until they called uncle. While we were catching reds we did catch some really nice trout (33 of them) and headed in early.
The other Captains all caught there limits of trout and limits of reds. We have been catching puppy drum by the Zillions, I don't know if that is a word, but they are everywhere and fun to catch. Capt. Shane's boat had the largest fish of the day, a 60lb drum caught on 20# power pro. Awesome Job Mark Benfatti the big fish guy of the day!!!
Well, we will be after it again tomorrow but the latter part of the week seems to be getting very windy with the passing of a front so we will see what happens?
