    Default Redfish Flies

Just wondering if anyone has any unique redfish patterns they'd like to share.

Very interested in learning some new ones.

Spoon flies are unique redfish patterns.Bright flashing colors of gold and silver are predominate in these very effective patterns. Weed guards are also a necessary component due to the often weedy environment of the redfish.

The Redfish is one of the most popular gamefish in the saltwater from Texas through the Gulf of Mexico, the Florida Everglades and up the east coast of the United States. Here is some information about flyfishing for Redfish and what the best flies are for catching Redfish anywhere they are found. Redfish (or Red Drum) inhabit many different environments in the inshore and offshore waters in the south and east coasts of the U.S. and they eat just about anything that will fit into their mouths. Most of the flyfishing for Redfish takes place in the shallow inshore waters. Redfish can be caught in the hottest part of the summer as well as the coldest times of the year which makes them as popular as they are.

I really like the shrimp pattern posted above. Gonna have to try that out.

For reds, I like flashy epoxy spoons. These are a couple of mine.

I've been doing good this winter with an EP sardine pattern with chartreuse body and silver head.
