After church Cameron and I decided to try to get snapper at the snapper hole. We started off catching small mangroves on shrimp and small bucktail jigs. after about 15 minutes I landed a nice 19inch sheepshead and then another and we kept catching them till we were out of shrimp. I did manage to get one on a bucktail and a hogfish on a bucktail. The keeper fish count for the afternoon was one 15 inch mangrove 1 hogfish and 15 sheepshead between 17 and 22 inches. We didn't get the snapper we were after but the sheepshead made up for that. We were fishing in 8 feet of water over a rocky bottom hole in yankeetown. We left the fish biting because we were out of bait and sunburned. It was a scorcher yesterday with no wind.
