We left out at day light in heavy fog looking for trout. The wind was strong and fishing was limited to only fishing close to the islands. After trying several spots at different islands we went back to where we first started fishing. About mid day we found some birds feeding on minnows and some reds feeding on the minnows in the grass beds. The reds were more than willing to hit plastic under a poping cork in 2 to 3 ft. of water. The main problem was finding reds under 30", most were running from 35 to 40 inches. On light tackle that gave us lots of problems. Most of the time there was 3 reds on at one time keeping us busy. After several hours of fighting big fish we did manage to get our limit of 15 under 30 inches and a few large trout to go with them. It was a rough ride out and a rough ride in but well worth it.
