We headed out to 30 feet to do some spearfishing on some rocks that have been holding grouper and cobia. When we got to the spot we almost didn't dive it because the vis was so poor but I'm glad we did. The vis was 5-8 feet but as we approached the bottom it was amazing how many grouper and snapper were stacked on the rocks. It was easy to get our limit of grouper and snapper. We also speared 9 hogfish. I always bring 2 coolers: one filled with ice and one empty to put the fish in and we transfer the ice as we fill the empty cooler with fish. Well yesterday we came up and put the fish from our stringers in the cooler with no ice and it was about 3/4 of the way full with fish. So we took a pic and iced the fish and didn't plan on keeping anymore fish since we had so much meat. We were just going to fish for fun but some cobia showed up so we ended up catching 2 cobia that we had to gaff to land, and about 6-7 more keeper-sized gags that we released. We also released about 30 spanish macs that we caught on yozuri lures. We headed home real early and enjoyed one heck of a fish fry last night.

This is the cooler before we started fishing
