Default Charlotte Harbor: Why are the big trout so smart?

I haven't been fishing Charlotte Harbor very much this year as I had to attend some daily micro-waving sessions for my now defunct prostate cancer.

Yesterday, off Crow Key, I got into a school of trout. Each one hooked and brought boatside was over 22 inches, a couple were closer to 24". Where were these guys hiding and where will they hide when the season opens again?

Those big fish on the bars are spawning. Assuming the winter ever actually starts around here those fish will be in creeks and canals. Basically anywhere the water warms quickly or stays warmer.

Try throwing chunks of ladyfish when the season opens for the big dawgs.

    Good luck,
    Dusk
