    Default Charleston,SC Fishing report, Thursday, Jan 14th 2010 (Pic's)

Charleston,SC ICW north of Charleston Harbor.
    Water temp 43-44 degrees
Last part of outgoing low tide ,Partly cloudy, Air temp low 60's to high 50's.

We found the fish at the first area we went to. Looked to be a school of about 100 fish.

Most of the fish were over the 23" slot, with about 10 fish being caught in three hours.

Bait was Berkley Gulp Alive, in the crab and shrimp pattern.

Tackle was, (Reel) Penn Conquer CQR2000 (Rod) Shakespeare Agility ASP 6086 2-M Medium action 8'6" (Line) SpiderWire Invisi-Braid 10lb.

The second location that we went too held plenty of fish, but the bite turned off after the tide changed...
Did not see any dead trout, but did see two dead pelicans.

Well done. I don't know what you do to them, but you're pictures are the clearest I've every seen on a forum.

Thanks,,,,I just change them from a "RAW" format to a jpeg, re-size, and then sharpen once in PhotoShop.
You need good glass (lens) on your camera to start with.

Great stuff Rick. What body are you shooting with and what glass do you have mounted?

This is the lens I use the most in the boat.
    Its a Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 Its only 450.00

Here is the link to it.

Here is another lens I have on my other body that's considered a "Walk-Around" lens at 28-75mm F/2.8. Ill use it in the boat for close up work, or walking around downtown playing tourist. Its only 460.00

Here is a link to that one.

Another lens I use a lot is a 70-200mm L f/4 zoom. I use this one for all kinds of shots. Its a good idea to put this on on the tri-pod when you can. Its only 640.00

Here is a link to that one.
