    Default Stripers like it.

I called Scott's Bait and Tackle, down around Mystic Island, to see if any Stripers are being caught. First thing I came out with was "The weather with wind and having turned colder must have shut down the "start-up" spring striper bite? A fisherlady on the other end said "The fishermen don't seem to care for this weather but the stripers love it and they are catching a fair amount of them as we speak. This report and phone call to Scott's was on the 26th of March, 2010. They are taking clam and bloodworm before most other offerings.

PS The time of day these fish were caught was around noon, and dead low tide. It was fairly cold, maybe 37 degrees F..
