    Thumbs up Trout Bite in Oyster Bay 4-17-2010

    Went out at first light with Hobie Regional Kayak Fisherman Jason Callaghan and fished the outgoing tide. We threw topwater across the Oyster bars and worked Trout Colored Super Spooks back with the outgoing tide and scared up some nice over the slot trout. My biggest was a 24" that pulled like a redfish. Moved off the bars when the tide picked up some steam and worked the face of the bars. Caught a few more but nothing that topped the 24". Water temperature has warmed up to mid 60's, wind was low at less than 10 mph and air temperature was around 62.
