Re: Miami restaurants?
go to any sedanos just to see the cuban culture and diversity, theirs A good sandwich shop, sarrucci's on 65 ave and 8 st.s.w. good custom sandwich.then on the corner of 82 ave and 8 st.s.w. ask for the miami sandwich.
then out on 8 st out towards krome is the BBQ pit.been their many years.
104 and s.dixie across from williamson cadillac is Bettys burger.
bird rd (sw 40 st)and 99 ave is Rio cristal, hole in the wall type spot that wouldn't really be seen yet has regulars for years who won't eat anywhere else.ask for the 31 special.
hong kong cafe, she's been there for 30-40 years, good food, good people.my mom was the food scarf queen and this was the only chinese she ate.
if I think of any thing else I'll put it up.
oh,all these places are cheap to reasonable.
oh,ranchuelo on 129 terr. and 87 ave.good for a pastry and cuban coffe, cafe con leche (cuban espresso coffee w/milk,they steam the milk).good for cheap breakfast and lunch.absolutely the best spot and people in miami.the true humble cuban type.
also, the winn dixie shopping center on sunset(72 nd st) and 87 ave s.w. theirs a great jamaican spot, all you could ask for, jamaican.big turnover for A small spot, jerked everything, curried goat, all home made, not in the NW place that delivers every 2 days to other spots.and jamaican sodas.
that center also has excellent food in the chinese resturaunt.eat in is nice and quaint.
miami is A big grid following the #'s is easy.
Bahamas fish market on 8 st.and 72 ave.they have a pick it for fresh fish and reasonably priced.
also sonjas fish market on 8 st and tamiami canal rd.it's at the opening for the palmetto expressway north.can't miss it when your heading west on 8 st.
she opened her spot, then bakama opened up,then the place on 67 ave and 16 street followed.
bahama and sonja outdo most other places in miami when it comes right down to it.
