    Default Marlins everywhere in Manta!!!

Blue Marlins are all around us in Manta. Anglers have had amazing reports of great Marlin concentrations, as well as Yellow fin and Big Eye Tuna.
The cold mass of water of the Pacific Ocean which is right in front of Manta and Salinas is ramming into the warm mass of water coming from the Caribbean for several weeks now, causing several changes, not only at sea but in land too with constant rains and low temperatures with water temperatures at 79F and fish all over the place!!
¨The weather is as it was 50 years ago¨, the local fishermen say, who lived Salinas´ glorious Golden Fishing Era many years ago.
We are seeing really impressive numbers with a special 850+ pound Blue Marlin that took the best of our friend Juan Jose Lladó in Manta. Incredibly, boats that went fishing this weekend in Manta had 4 blue marlins on average per day (Friday through Sunday). The impressive fact is that they are all Blues, No Stripes.

We hope that the fishing continues since this is not only a Marlin party, but a Wahoo too. Four miles out of Salinas you´ll never see so many Wahoos in your life.
