SWS Fish Babe Contest

Dear friends of SWS

Here at Salt Water Sportsman, we’re aware that there have been ongoing efforts to promote certain Fish Babe contestants on other websites, blogs and forums. For the most part, this has fostered healthy competition, but a number of you have expressed concern over several recent contests in which overzealous friends of certain contestants enthusiastically provided details on ways to disable the mechanisms in place to discourage multiple voting by the same person, and have in fact bragged of voting hundreds of times for their contestant of choice, creating a decidedly lopsided outcome.

The latest contest was the worst example of such vote manipulation, although, in the interest of complete disclosure, we must point out that lots of other contestants have engaged in similar activities in previous contests, just not to such an egregious extent. Because we didn’t disqualify those previous winners, we feel we can’t justifiably disqualify this month’s winner, even though most of our staff wanted to.

This situation has created substantial cynicism about the fairness of the contest, so in future Fish Babe of the Month competitions, new voting restrictions will curtail this kind of multiple voting, and hopefully provide a more level playing field. We have heard your concerns and are taking action to make things right.

With all due respect, you should have listened to your staff and sent a message to these people. It’s a big joke to them that they screwed up the contest. If you had disqualified their girl they would likely just give up and go find somebody else to bother. It’s what they do.

Instead, they’re now planning to submit one of the guys in drag….and no matter what you do to curtail the multiple voting, there’s one guy over there who’ll figure it out and spread the word. We're talking about a group of guys with nothing better to do with their time.

I agree. you're only encouraging bad behavior. you should have drawn a line and stopped it. believe me, the people who rigged the vote from that website live on the computer. they post in their 'good morning' thread before they brush they're teeth thru their 'what you eating thread' to the 'goodnight' thread.

They are laughing at the win and like it was stated before even their mods are in on it.

They have no respect for no one but their own .

i was lurking around the site for a while without posting or registering.the fish babe contest seemed to me to be run within the rules posted and the winner is clear. but running a guy in drag is just crazy,,,a bit funny but crazy none the less

wow those people who doctored the results of the fish babe contest were very bad people..i once was a member of that ..other site...until they turned against me....good riddance i say
