Taking Brian and Cal out today. They were the crew that were with me when we found that Channel Marker in 1250ft. Cal & I told Brain on that trip and again this morning that it was a once in a life time trip and not too expect that kind of non-stop action again. We picked up $20 bucks worth of bait from the bait guy then ran down south for some Sardines.

Headed over to the Cobia hotel and made a couple of drifts and Cal picked up this guy.

Heres Reel Nuts and Vindawg. How did your days end up today? :biglaugh:

Made a run offshore to the Hill in hope of some BFT's but the water temp there was 78.7 degrees which is a little to warm for them. We trolled around anyhow but didn't get a nibble on the Daisy Chains.

Ran from here down south between the Loran Tower and Jupiter insearch of some fishable conditions for some fins. Drifted some liveys in 265ft with nothing around so we moved in to 100ft and created our own slick

Minutes later Brian hooked up to his first Kingfish. Congrats Brain... :toast: Let me know how that fish dip turns out.

Ran in from here to a wreck in close to the beach but there were already some boats anchored up on it so we moved back offshore. Heres another first for Brian :jester:

We continue northeast and Cal spots a turtle in about 135ft holding fish.

He and Brian tosses out some liveys on it and Brian gets hooked up to this gaffer fin.

Congrats on your biggest fin to date Brian...

We make another drift in this area with nobody home so we headed to the AJ spot in hopes of picking up some AJ's even though are lone (LARGE) blue runner passed away during the morning run...

We made it to the AJ spot and made a few drifts with not one bite. Current was ripping so we opted to change plans and run in to the 6 mile reef and make one last drift along my favorite spot for sailfish. I told the crew this is the sailfish spot and in minutes Brians on his first Sailfish...

Congrats on the Sail Brian

Tip of the day: 5/7/2011:

Additional space in the garage to hold your rods:
•Heres an easy rod holder you can make for the garage to stow up to as many rods as you would like to drill holes for plus some added shelf space for the gear.

•The bungee cords make it a quick and easy way to keep them secured.
