Quick rigging of pork rinds needed, part of crew say they don't work? I aim to prove them wrong Saturday!

ONLY IF YOU PUBLICLY DISCLOSE THE NAMES OF THOSE WHO DOUBT...
WHAT REALLY AMAZES ME IS THAT A MAHI IS ABOUT THE DUMBEST ANIMAL ON THE PLANET AND WILL EAT ANYTHING YOU PRESENT TO HIM....MAHI FISHING IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE....SHOE LEATHER...BALONEY...SALMON EGGS...STING RAY STRIPS...THE GREEN THING...BLOWFISH....SEA HORSES...EARTHWORMS...SHRIMP....
DUDE....IF THE DOUBTERS ARE THIS SLACK...AND THIS STUBBORN ABOUT WHETHER A MAHI WILL EAT AN UNCLE JOSH PORK RIND STRIP 6" WHITE OR ANY OTHER COLOR FOR THAT MATTER....THEN YOU MAY BE GOING ON THE WRONG BOAT. IF I WERE YOU, I WOULD SERIOUSLY RECONSIDER CLIMBING ABOARD.
A 4" OCTOPUS SKIRT W/ EGG IN HEAD...WITH A SMALL MUSTAD DINK J-HOOK SHARP AS HELL....AND ADD THE PORK RIND....THERE AIN'T A MAHI ALIVE THAT WILL RESIST.....AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO REBAIT.....PLUS, AT THE END OF THE DAY, SAVE AND PUT THE USED RIND BACK IN THE JAR FOR THE NEXT TRIP.
DO NOT USE THE PRE-CUT HOLE IN THE RIND.....I USE THE END OF MY SCISSORS TO CUSTOM DRILL A NEW HOLE
Now Box I can't disclose the names of the closed minded, I can't be picky when I get a chance to go now days. I just need bodies in the boat, no talent or skills, just sit there, eat drink and stay outta the way of the steel
I have seen a few rigged with a new hole punched and the extra strip zip tied to the hook shank?
Netman your right the little critters will eat anything, couple years ago we had several that were stuffed with popcorn styrafoam, how they were still living is beyond me.

I do just like Box discribed, no need to get fancy. I still prefer the straight up ballyhoo rig, but when they are chewing the pork rind is a sure way to save bait and $.
When your buds aren't looking put a 2 oz yellow bucktail with a red pork rind down the middle of the spread( exact same lure we troll for rock (stripers) in the bay with) Dolphin WILL eat it.
Bert
They work I was a doubter until a few years ago we pulled up to a blue green temp break with a 4 degree temp change that was full of weed
You know its gonna be a good day when a longline set is in it and you can smell the fish
Anyways we went thru 5 packs of hoos quicklike and the pork saved the day
We just stuck um on the seawitch pinrigs that we used for ballyhoo worked great
When you run out of skirts, rinds & spros.... As Box said they'll eat just about everything!

Another decent dolphin bait is the Fishbites catfish HEYMON stripes. they come 3 in a pack and are ~ 10inches long. I use the white ones. I cut them in half and put them behind a small octopus or a mini ilander with a 6/0 or 7/0 gamakatsu hook.
Not sure if they are as tough as pork rind, but I rig two rods with them at the start of the day and have them at the ready. (like a pitch bait rod) When the little yella fellas come charging the spread we'll quick deploy the heymon's and save a rigged bait or two as they will hit the newly deployed strip bait instead of the trolled hoo.
Just had the pleasure of loading the Run Off fishbox with lots of Mahis on Mothers Day ............ and yes Uncle Josh pork rinds were in the spread and easy to fish ......... get back in the water fast cause you don't have to rebait LOL
