Kingfish, Dolphin, Wahooo, Tuna

We went out trolling for Dolphin with Ballyhoo… Got a 10-12lb cow in about 500′ off of Delray. Setup the drift with the Cannon down rigger on an Alutecnos 20 with 30lb mono, 60lb floro leader, 30lb wire + 5/0 circle hook – and 3 Baitrunners 20lb test flat lines and live Pilchards. Caught a small Black Fin, threw him back, was getting late so I started cranking up the Cannon and BAM! I’ve never heard a reel scream like this one. He was running and he was big. So big we had to pull up all the lines and chase him down with the boat. After about 10min not knowing what it was it turned on the afterburners and went for another long run. I was in shock! We chased him down again and what to you know…. 37.8lb WAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOO! After that we setup a final drift outside of Boca inlet and got a nice Kingfish!!
