Just got my January issue of SWS and was happy to read that many others took notice of that abomination on page 51 of the October issue. I expect more . . . a LOT more from SWS as it's a great mag with fantastic contributors but YIKES!!! Who let that photo run of the haywire/barrel wrapped Hopkins. That was a googan rig if I ever saw it which could likely result in lost fish AND injured anglers (cutting wire, not breaking it).

ONE OF THE MAIN POINTS I NOTED TO BECOME A WINNING CREW WAS TO KEEP ALCOHOL OUT OF THE FISHING ARENA WHICH I AGREE WITH 100%....TIP # 3 WAS NOT TO PART TOO HARD......BUT THE TEAM PHOTO IN THE MAGAZINE ON PAGE 62 SHOWS WHAT I SEE TO BE A COUPLE CANS OF BEER, ONE AT THE FEET OF AN ANGLER AND ONE ON THE GUNNEL....IT IS A RATHER SMALL PHOTO , BUT FROM THIS DISTANCE, LOOKS LIKE MILLER LITE CANS TO ME.....OTHER THAN THE APPARENT PRESENCE OF ALCOHOL VISIBLE IN DEPICTED PHOTO SUGGESTING ONE "KEEP THE PARTYING TO A MINIMUM, GREAT ARTICLE!

NOW WHICH IS IT I ASK ? FISH WITH ALCOHOL IN YOUR BODY OR NOT? THIS READER WANTS TO KNOW....

Thanks for the support Wahoonbox. Glad to hear you're using Mustad.
As for the alcohol onboard . . . to each his own I guess as long as those that partake don't do so in such quantity that it puts folks in harms way. Personally I don't drink at all, not a drop, never had but I don't judge others that do unless they are drinking and driving.
