Default whistle Bouy 12/24/11 morning report

I was about a mile away from the buoy, I took my nephew, that came from Cuba a month ago,He had never been on a boat, He only fished from shore at the famous Malecon rocks in Havana.
He also never got a yellowtail. We only hit one spot I wanted to show him how to catch the tails and that he did learn, He got a few nice size tails. The tide was very nice flowing north, unlike yesterday which I was told by a few friends it was slow and the bite was not good. Today the fish were hungry .We had a ball of big tails behind the boat and the bonitos and hound fish were also very thick making the catching very hard and to top it off, I had a couple big tails taken by a cuda which I just had to get rid of ,I put my wire and just dropped a yellowtail head she had left me and I hooked it quickly, what a fight I gave the rod to my nephew and he fought it to the boat, where I gaffed it and put it in the cooler for a friend that eats them. With the cuda out of the way, the tails started to eat again we caught a hand full more and I started fishing bottom every bait I put down got hit within 2 minutes time, I caught one mack and two undersize cobia which I quickly released, then i got a few unstoppable hits and a big nurse and called it a day early in time for the Christmas eve party, here are some picks. For more look up www.miamimuttonman.com
