Yesterday I fished on my jet ski from Virginia Beach to the NC/Va state line and back to Cape Henry. I covered about 80 miles in near perfect glassy conditions. It was unusually warm with temps about 60 degrees by the time I got back to land.
No luck on the Striped Bass, just a couple of Dog Sharks. It did not matter cause the weather was awesome and many things to see as usual.
The whale phenom continues along the Virginia coast off of Virginia beach. I saw at least six humpbacks. There were just as many people looking for whales as there were anglers looking for fish. I think your luck was better seeing a whale than catching a Striper.
