You ever have one of those days where you go fishing and every thing happens just right?
Do you ever go the next day and try and duplicate what you did the day before?
Today was Deja Vu fishing for me.
Yesterday morning I put in at Crab Creek boat ramp and went straight to the High Rise Bridge of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and fished for Tautog using live fiddler crab for bait. I caught several togs up to 21 inches. There were hundreds of Gannets diving near the shore the whole time I was pulling up Chubs from the deep. After fishing I went and investigated and saw dozens of Dolphin busting on bait. It was impressive!
This afternoon I dropped my jet ski in at Messick boat ramp and headed across the bay back to the High Rise. It was foggy most of the trip but it cleared up nicely once I got there.
I fished the same pile and caught just as many Togs up to 22 inches. Same bird and Dolphin action going on the whole time I was fishing. This time I managed to get a picture of a Peregrine Falcon that was giving me a fly by's both days.
Two half days of fishing, one in the morning the next day in the afternoon. Both perfect days. The only difference was today I had a great Tog dinner.
Here are some pictures.
