Boca bottom fishing 4/25/12

Got to the spot and anchored at 5:45 this morning. North breeze and South running current made the chilly air tolerable. Slight current and a slow pick of YTs & Runners till daybreak.

The YT bite stayed slow the whole trip. I ballooned out a Bonito that got hit a mere 15 minutes later but my line had sunk in the slight current and hung on a bottom obstruction then just frayed off after the hit.

4 Dolphin crashed our chum line and we hooked 3 and landed 2. I ballooned out a small Runner which didn't get hit for a couple hours. Finally a hit on the Runner and I brought in a nice Phin to bring our total to 3.

It was a great day on the water with the exception of the South running current.
