Default what kind of fish is this?

I was just fishing in key west & I caught these fish but have no idea what they are & neither did anyone else. I caught 2 of them at one time deep dropping in 630' using squid. I was straight out of the key west harbor. these fish were very slimy to the touch. Does anyone have any ideas what they might be?

i find it funny you posted this in the Conservation section and did not know what they were and still kept them , if you dont know what it is take a photo and release it and find out and then you know what they are and then you will know if the fish is legal to keep ....

thanks for the response but I looked pomfrets up and it just does not fit the description. I attached another pic that might help figure it out. This is when they were first caught before the ice got to them.

I appreciate your concern but when fish are pulled up by an electric rod from over 600feet, they are distressed when they finally reach the top. Even if I would have thrown them back in, they probably would not have survived.
