Well our early push of Tarpon has just about evaporated. The good news is our friends to the east have seen another good push of fish headed west (our way)! So stay tuned they'll be showing up again soon. In the mean time between catching our usual redfish and speckled trout we've been targeting (sight casting) to Black Tip sharks right off the beach. We use a little bit of chum in the right area and it brings the Black Tips within casting range pretty quick. If you've never caught on on a fly rod you're missing out. First off they jump, and they fight like hell! These fish range from 3 to 5 feet and are really great fighters and take a fly readly. Until the Tarpon start showing again these will be our big game fish of the moment.
