Thread: Miami Bonefish

    Default Miami Bonefish

Fishing Biscayne Bay with Mike Swiek from Bethesda Md. for three days, two filled with rain but it didn’t matter.

The first day we had rain most of the day and we found tarpon every way we went. With no light it was
hard but when the fish would roll we could hook up. Mike hooked 3 tarpon and boated 2, we also got 1
lemon shark, 1 bonnet shark and, 4 barracuda.

The second day it rained even harder and there was less sun but we got 3 bonefish 7.5, 6.5 and 2.5
pounds also lost a black tip shark, 1 bonnet shark and a number of barracudas.

The third day was cloudy with some sun in and out and we had shots at bonefish, permit and tarpon. We got 2 tarpon to eat but could not put a hook in them, caught a few barracudas. It was slow but saw a
good number of permit that would not even look at the crabs or shrimp.
