My crew today is Diane and her husband Ken. Diane is a first timer to the offshore adventure. No set plans for today except to bend some rods. Bait guy was not at the ramp when we left at 5:30am so we headed to Bullshark to locate some sardines.

Got a shout our from the Undertaker (my UPS guy) who caught his first BFT after 10 years of trying. Congrats Chuck :thumbsup. Glad I could help :thumbsup
We exited the parking lot at Bullshark and headed to Shrimpers in hopes of adding some large runners to the wells for some AJ's later.
Got a thumbs up from this crew as they enjoy my reports :thumbsup
Loaded up a few runners in the wells and headed to the Hill for so some BFT. Opted to drift liveys again along the top of the ledge instead of trolling the chains to see if we can get the targeted species.
Minutes later... FISH ON... Diane was hooked up to what we hope was a BFT...
Targeted species captured... Congrates Diane on catching your first BFT :thumbsup
Went back up to the same start point and made another drift and Ken hooks up this time.
As Diane is reeling in her line she brings up a Remora with a partner. After a quick dehooking, Ken gets his fish to the boat and it's a Bontia. Still puts a nice smile on Kens face. That is what its all about :thumbsup
After a couple more drifts and one more Bonita caught by Diane we ran to the AJ spot in hopes of putting those large Blue Runners to good use.
FISH ON... Kens hooked up on the first drift over the wreck. This thing peeled 300ft of line off in short order. After chasing this down we pretty much resulted to the fact we had a very large shark on.
Here is Fi$h2nguyen watching on... Thanks for clearing your lines and moving for us. Class Act :thumbsup
After about a 1/2 fight it finally came unglued and broke the 50lb braid.

Gave some fresh Tuna to a guy (Gene) who I chatting with back at the parking spot and told him to come down to the cleaning table and I will give you some fresh Tuna. He was exstatic to say the least :thumbsup.
Tip of the day
Get in touch with Rowerybo (Ryan) on the forum and have him and his dad make me a custom fit life jacket bag. I came up with this design and they put it into reality for a reasonable price. I was tired of having to replace my T-bags every other year due to them wearing out and tearing.
What I like about this is that it is utilizing space that you don’t use. The area between the T-Top support bars that run from the front edge of the T-Top on down to the main vertical supports.
They added a baffle in the middle that keeps the center of the bag to be no lower than four inches down from the T-Top. This keeps the bag from obstructing view.
They came to the house and reviewed my concept and added some great ideas then came back a week later with a mock-up model to check for fit-up. A week later I got my new additional to the AF.
Thank You Ryan and your dad for your expert job on my new life jacket holder. :thumbsup
