The super night bluefishing continued Saturday night. Limits of 8 to 15LB bluefish were common for those that wanted that many. The pool winner was:
CJ Siedel from South Plainfield NJ with a 15LB bluefish.
We were chumming and caught the blues on bait. Night bluefishing has been very good every night since Tuesday night. Sunday we started catching smaller blues. It did not take long for everyone to catch plenty of them before we went looking for the larger bluefish. We made several drifts and headed offshore looking for the jumbo blues. After drifting a short time, a big school came under the boat, and were caught on bait and jigs. We caught some for awhile. It looked like it was going to get good but the bite stopped. We made several more drifts but only caught a couple more of the big blues.
The pool winner was:
8 year old - Iaden Matos from Allentown PA with a 13LB bluefish.
