Taking Ethan and his 10 year old son Braeden out today. This is his sons first trip offshore so the plan is to simply bend some rods today and put him on some firsts.

We left the ramp at 5am and headed to Bullshark. Located a large school of Sardines and had them in the lights for at least 45 minutes and picked them up one, two at a time along with some small Goggle Eyes. We used the Gulp Shrimp spray and it worked :applause.

We ended up ˝ mile north of the barge by the time we finally lost the school. By then the boats started showing up. Got back to Bullshark and could not locate any more Sardines, just Goggle Eyes.

Ethan hooked up to a small shark on a Sabiki and got it to the boat. How that shark didn’t cut through that Marathon Sabiki rig I will never know.

Sunrise pics

Headed back north of the inlet and loaded up some large Goggle Eyes and Sardines.

From here we stopped at the Sandpile to a boat load of Sardines. Top the wells and headed SE to the ledge off the Loran Tower in 300ft for some BFT…

Spotted this on the way :grin

It sure was a lake out there today...

Drifted livey’s along the ledge with no bites... :banghead

Here is Bareden getting some breakfest while waiting on the fish bite.

Got to the northern tip and decided to break out the chains and troll back south. Here is Bareden enjoying the troll... :applause

Without knockdowns we ran out to 400ft and located some nice weeds loaded up with baits. I look down an see a Sailfish swim right under the boat. I tossed a cigar minnow (only because it was rigged and ready) out in his direction but no takers…

Worked this piece of debris with no luck as well.

I figured we had better change things up and get Braeden on the bite to peak his interest in the sport we all love. Headed SW from here and hit the ledge between Hobe Sound and Jupiter and pulled up to some nice weeds and spotted this floating right were we stopped. :grin

Bareden gets hooked up immediately...

The smile says it all :applause

First Bonita almost jumped out of his hands... Good catch Braeden :USA

Braeden spotted this baby sea turtle...

After working this area a bit we decided to head to the AJ spot. We see another on the way :grin

We arrive to the AJ spot and dropped down the large Blue Runner and worked this area for about 45 minutes without nobody home :banghead They were there yesterday. Go figure.

Seen this guy cruise by... Yep, you guessed it. Water Skiing on the ocean. It sure was perfect for it...

Run in to the Sandpile to end the day and we hook up Bonita and Ethan catches this awesome Snook. Congrats Ethan :USA
