A wise old man was teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.
"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego." He continued, "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"
The wise old man simply replied, "The one you feed."

The Wolves Within Video
sorry bout the toes in the camera..

paddled to the Bob Hall standpipe with B.Lowrey this morning, the surf was considerable rougher than predicted(SwellInfo has been very wrong the last few times i have gone), Bobby flipped in the surf and lost his gaff..the way out was really choppy with some good sized swells, i took a lone rouge wave halfway to the standpipe that broke two feet over my head, i have no idea how i didn't flip..the weeds were really bad, i had to stop every 50yards to get them off my ribbonfish..took the Wilderness Systems Tarpon100 today..

Bobby got the first fish, a nice little Spanish macheral on ribbonfish
i tied to the rig since the current was so strong, cut my hand up on some barnacles doing it..i tossed out a flat lined ribbonfish that got hit instantly by a king..no hookup though..tossed out another one it got hit too in seconds by a king, again no hookup..got bit by kings 4 times while tied to the rig..hooked and landed a 38incher on an old Calcutta 400TE with 40pound braid (the last fish that reel fought was a 200+pound tarpon in Panama in a wooden kayak, had to cut it off after 2 hours cause a storm was headed our way, the two native kids i was with didn't like being drug that far offshore into the pacific)

Tried to fish for snapper, but only trigger fish were home today..i decided to unhook and troll some more..i put on a fire tiger Rapala diver and a weighted ribbonfish..made a pass or two around the rig, then started a crazy S shaped troll making multiple turns and playing with trolling speeds, chummed some ribbonfish while i was at it..hooked a monster on the Calcutta 400TE..it very nearly spooled me(i think i had less than 20 yards of line on the spool at one point)..i started going down current fast with the rig getting between the fish and i.. was going to loose it to the rig so i paddled and reeled as best as i could till i got on the other side of the rig..by this time i realized the rod i was holding was the one i put the fire tiger Rapala on..this was a big king with a bad attitude, i put some heat on it till i was able to see that it was only hooked in the gill plate..i made a hasty gaff shot to the midsection to try and end the fight before i lost it..it surged away ripping the gaff out of my hand(the hand that got cut up by barnacles)..the gaff rode around stuck into the king for a minute or two then was lost..i grabbed the king by the tail and gave it to Bobby..it went 50 inches, pretty sure it was over 30pounds..my first king over 50inches from the yak, my first king on an artificial from the yak..that Rapala earned a spot on my yak from now on..
