2012 Panhandle Poonin

Sadly it's the end of another awesome Florida Tarpon Fly Fishing season. The Silver King did not fail to dazzle in their ability of flight. The season started earlier in North Florida this year than would be considered the normal. These fish were swimming the flats of the Panhandle and mashing fly's as early as mid March. I have not seen the #'s of fish that early in over a decade which proved to be just what needed as Debbie would roll thru in late June and slow us down for a few weeks mid season. Salted Flats Fly Fishing would like to thank this awesome fish and everyone who loves them and what they offer an angler for a great season! Here are a few pics from season 2012:
