Ok, its not a surf report, but you've gotta hear this. Today jumped on the **************** Robin out of Point Pleasant, northeast 15 knots seas 3 to 4 foot gray and snotty with drizzle. Bluefish on our minds. What. Insane. Action! It was non stop drop any metal jig down and reel up to land bluefish in the 8 to 20-pound class, and believe me, I've seen 20 pound blues only a few times before and these were them. Reels screaming, lines snapping and gaffs flying fish over the rail. I don't keep many fish, but after taking legendary photos, I dropped jigs down and landed a dozen slammers and gave them to some hardcore guys who drove from Washington DC to fish for Jersey Blues. That's Dedication! Seriously, these bluefish were ones that would make makos think twice. And to add, there were three striped bass to 18 pounds taken on jigs too, and there would've been more but you simply couldn't get your jigs down fast enough to get past them. What a day!
