I only had a little while to fish today but that is all it took. I ran across the Chesapeake Bay on my jet ski this afternoon and trolled for an hour off of Cape Charles on the Eastern Shore. No bait and few fish marks.

I decided to go a couple miles South and drift eels for a little while before heading back home. I was still putting lines out when one rod bent over and screamed drag. After a few minutes I got him in the net an secured him for the 18 mile ride back home.

I did not have my line in the water for more than five minutes.

I was fortunate to get a nice fish in short order, heard it was slow for most people out today

Tomorrow is forecast to rain all day so I will bring an umbrella with me on the ski. Ha!
