Post What fly fishing rod to buy for a beginner?

I am planning to buy a fly fishing rod and as I am a beginner, I have never used them before. I am looking for a strong and easy to use rod and I am willing to spend $150. So, what do you guys suggest?

Think of a beginner setup as something to learn on. You won't have it forever. The make and model doesn't matter so much as the ease of use. Here are some tips:

    Good luck!

There are fly rods and reels out there that you can pick up on the cheap that will serve you well for a long time. Check out the Orvis Clearwater outfits (rod and reel). What weight are you looking for? What are your target fish species? Where are you fishing?
